Be it known unto all that, on the waxing moon of Ærra Líða MMXXIV in the week before the summer sunstead, Þórbeorht Hláford Cyning fared forth to Géring Théod’s Heall in Watertown, New York to hold moot with Gárman Hláford. At that gathering, Gárman shared with Þórbeorht the lore of the Théodish Smiths’ Gild, the craft of the berserker’s battle-dréam (battle frenzy), and much rede that Wóden had given to him in the days of the Witan Théod. Moreover, Gárman entrusted Þórbeorht with the keeping of Manslaga, that worthy and widely beknown blótseax which Gárman himself smithed with mains given to him by Wóden. That was a good gathering and for it the Théodish Ríce is strengthened and well sped.
